Wireless Engineer III Job Description

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer to join their team in Englewood, CO. As a Wireless Engineer III, you will participate in wireless network planning, design, and engineering. Your expertise will be utilized to integrate and depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in wireless network planning, design, and engineering
  • Integrate and depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations
  • Evaluate new products and perform wireless network problem resolution
  • Develop and implement approved methods of procedure
  • Design, develop, and implement wireless network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of wireless network experience
  • Proficient knowledge of data wireless networking (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards (IEEE, ANSI, etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of wireless network design, architecture, protocols, and topology
  • Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and appliances
  • Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software (Visio, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification
  • Wireless industry and vendor-specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)
