Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, refurbishment, and repair on various electrical systems and equipment.
  • Possess qualifications and experience in electrical theory and principles.
  • Utilize a diverse array of hand tools and equipment for the installation and testing of electrical components and systems.
  • Experience with Armoured Fighting Vehicles is advantageous.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understand project timelines and work towards established objectives.
  • Commit to meeting time, cost, and quality standards, consistently striving to exceed expectations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand tolerances and required materials for tasks.
  • Complete technical documentation and support the Quality Assurance team as necessary.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, taking precautions to protect the workplace and its personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient workspace in line with organizational standards while following a production schedule.
  • Ensure the quality of your work through self-certification of production documentation.
  • Conduct crane operations and lifting tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Support the Logistics team with the movement and inspection of parts and materials as needed.
  • Comply with the company’s code of conduct and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Willingness to work offsite, including potential international assignments.
  • Flexibility for overtime and shift work may be required.
  • Holding a H license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Automotive or equivalent experience as a trained electrician, demonstrating reliability and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in installing systems and diagnosing failures using electrical block wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience in assembly within electrical, mechanical engineering, or production environments.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems, including 12/24v DC systems.
  • Experience in installing vehicle electrical harness systems.
  • Knowledge of data bus and fiber optics systems is a plus.
  • Computer literacy and experience with diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications, drawings, and test procedures.
  • Understanding of quality control processes within production.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to knowledge sharing within a high-performing team.
  • Motivated, disciplined, and possessing a strong work ethic with attention to detail.
