We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Hospital for Behavioral Medicine. As a Behavioral Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with the healthcare team.
- Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
- Verify the accuracy of patient records and intervene based on knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures.
- Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations.
- Act as the patient's advocate and ensure that patient rights are upheld.
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment.
