Peraton's Procurement division is on the lookout for a Senior Procurement Manager. The individual in this role will oversee and manage a variety of engagements related to our Indirect spend, focusing on sectors such as IT Services, Software, Telecom, and Hardware.

Primary Duties:
  • Serve as a pivotal member of the Procurement team, leading engagements in indirect spending categories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish strong advisory relationships with Functional Leaders while managing a team of four.
  • Report directly to the Senior Director of Procurement Operations.
  • Guide sourcing personnel in developing sourcing solutions aligned with the overall technology strategy.
  • Assist procurement teams and stakeholders in formulating effective category and supplier strategies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategic sourcing initiatives while ensuring business continuity and supplier performance.
  • Analyze spend, supplier, and market data to uncover savings opportunities and assess value chain impacts.
  • Oversee supplier market RFI/RFP processes, including execution, analysis, and business case evaluations.
  • Engage with potential vendors, addressing RFP inquiries, evaluating results, and supporting vendor selection.
  • Drive annual productivity enhancements across all spending categories by implementing ideas to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures aimed at driving savings and managing organizational change within procurement categories.
  • Lead sourcing events, including vendor selection and contract negotiations.
  • Enhance sourcing efficiency by defining roadmaps for prioritizing sourcing categories and expanding e-procurement catalogs.
  • Conduct research and analytics to validate savings projections and facilitate precise supplier negotiations.
  • Review significant contracts for key spending areas and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex negotiations.
  • Communicate functional supply chain or sourcing strategies to a diverse audience of managers and senior professionals.
  • Align group objectives and articulate broader procurement transformation initiatives.
  • Source and cultivate relationships with top-tier suppliers to build a best-in-class supply chain.
  • Leverage all strategic levers within the sourcing process to discover new value paths.
  • Employ supplier management and continuous improvement methodologies with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve sourcing and procurement cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier-driven innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and material management.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting various contract types and master agreements (IDIQ, BOA, MSA).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
  • A critical thinker who challenges the status quo and promotes compliance through innovative methods.
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
  • Motivated to stay informed about emerging industry and government trends, adapting to compliance requirements.
  • Experience in process improvement, training, and compliance initiatives.
