Job Title: Server

At Parkland Properties, we are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at The Lake House Waterfront Grille. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests, making them feel at home in our restaurant.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that our guests receive their orders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and serve drinks, including coffee and tea, to our guests.
  • Relay food orders to the kitchen staff and serve dishes to tables, ensuring that our guests receive their orders hot and fresh.
  • Ensure that our guests are enjoying their meals and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Prepare checks and process payments, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
  • Brew coffee and tea, and assist with portioning and food prep as needed.
  • Clean and reset tables, including silverware, glassware, and other items, to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including cleaning work areas, sinks, counters, displays, buffets, tables, chairs, and other equipment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with guests, kitchen staff, and management.
  • Reading and writing abilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, unless agreed upon with management.
