Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Your Hiring Coaches. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the health and well-being of our athletes, providing expert care and management of injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive athletic training services, including injury prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning.
  • Cover assigned practices, sports games, or matches, and related events, under the supervision of the team physician and/or program manager.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, and strength and conditioning programs, in accordance with findings of evaluations and goals established by the injury assessment or by the treating physician.
  • Prepare athletes for treatment, ensure their comfort and safety, and carry out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician.
  • Apply treatment procedures and modalities in accordance with established indications and contraindications.
  • Assess athletes' status in response to treatment, modify programs as appropriate, and refer athletes for diagnostic and follow-up procedures and subsequent injury tracking.
  • Coordinate follow-up treatment/appointments with physician office manager and/or Rehab scheduling team, and ensure immediate access to services.
  • Communicate with athletes, parents, athletic directors, coaches, and physicians regarding athletes' playing status and ability to return to competition, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment, and use assigned athletic training equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain athletes' medical records and relevant paperwork, including statistics and injury logs as established.
  • Work confidently in crisis or emergency situations, demonstrating knowledge of safety practices.
  • Organize pre- and post-participation physicals, and participate in select community service/educational programs related to sports medicine.
  • Assist in program development related to sports medicine, assist with on-boarding process for all new contracts, and assist with creating and maintaining relevant statistics to ensure program growth and success.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills required to work effectively with players, coaches, and other team personnel, and possess knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Current certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers.
  • Experience: Preferred one to two years of athletic training experience in a sports environment.
  • CPR Certification: CPR certification is required within 90 days of the hire date.
