Staff Development Coordinator

Join Avamere Communities as a Staff Development Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating our infection control program, ensuring compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive infection control program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services to develop and implement a budget for the infection control program.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a written plan of care for each resident in isolation or on infection control precautions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- Minimum six months of training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique, including Standard Precautions.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities and infection control practices.
