Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Role: The Charge Nurse will provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Patient Care: This individual will coordinate patient care, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment and outcomes.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: The Charge Nurse will make sound clinical decisions, using evidence-based practice to guide care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Communication: Effective communication is crucial in this role, as the Charge Nurse will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Staff Development: The Charge Nurse will be responsible for mentoring and developing nursing staff, helping them to grow and develop in their careers.

Requirements:

  • Nursing Experience: At least two years of experience in an operating room setting, with a focus on leadership and patient care.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact state licensure within 60 days.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CNOR certifications required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited nursing program.

Estimated Salary:$115,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
