Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Optimization Lead to join our team at Applied Optoelectronics. This is a unique opportunity to drive operational efficiency and profitability by leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles across our engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with production and engineering teams to gain deep insights into existing operations and design innovative solutions that meet and exceed Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
  • Design and implement robust performance metrics and dynamic dashboards to monitor progress, providing clear, actionable insights to leadership.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of manufacturing capabilities, accurately calculate production capacities, and collaborate with the production control team to ensure seamless workflow optimization.
  • Drive labor productivity enhancements through the development and deployment of industry best practices and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data modeling techniques to identify trends, predict outcomes, and support strategic decision-making in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based upon data.
  • MES and ERP knowledge preferred.
  • SQL, Python, MATLAB, programming skills preferred.
