Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medicine Transfer Coordinator to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the placement of patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of internal and external customers to ensure optimal patient placement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the placement of patients using clinical nursing skills and knowledge of clinical care requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external physicians, nursing, and other patient intake areas to expedite the placement of patients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of services and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide leadership in the delivery of services and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
