Position Overview:
The Agricultural Research and Development (R&D) Specialist is crucial in the exploration, assessment, and advancement of innovative technologies within our agricultural and specialty sectors.

Role Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be engaged in the implementation of precision agriculture tools, including drones and imaging technology, to support research and development initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include working across various crops within a designated territory, applying crop protection products (such as herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and nematicides) and crop production solutions (including fertilizers and biological products).

This role involves collaboration with diverse seeds and crops aimed at developing new traits, enhancing pesticide tolerance, improving nutrient efficiency, and increasing drought resilience.

Daily Activities:
- Establish studies at company-owned facilities and partner fields.
- Apply crop protection and production products along with various seeds and crops across your assigned area.
- Assess product efficacy, crop safety, yield, and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and prepare for field day activities.
- Manage data collection and analysis using specialized research software.
- Calibrate scientific and commercial equipment for precise applications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, including minor repairs to engines and spray apparatus.
- Operate various agricultural machinery as needed.
- Prepare reports and materials for demonstrations and field days.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in an agriculture-related field is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
- Candidates must pass a drug screening and background investigation.
- A valid U.S. driver's license is essential for operating company vehicles.

Skills for Success:
- Mechanical aptitude, particularly in performing basic repairs on small engines and spray equipment.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in computer applications.
