At PhyNet Dermatology LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Job:

The Medical Assistant Specialist will be responsible for providing medical assistance to dermatology physicians, including rooming patients, updating patient records, and assisting with office procedures. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical assistance to dermatology physicians, including rooming patients and updating patient records.
  • Assist with office procedures, such as biopsies, surgeries, and treatments for various skin conditions.
  • Take and document patient HPI (history of present illness).
  • Update patient medical/surgical/family history, medications, and allergies.
  • Prep and assist with numerous surgical procedures, such as ED&Cs, shave/punch biopsies, ILK, I&D, and others.
  • Prep and assist with cosmetic procedures, such as Botox, lasers, and others.
  • Log pathology and transmit pathology orders to appropriate lab.
  • Input templates and scribe chart notes as required by physician.
  • Process RX refills and submit prior authorizations.
  • Operate Narrowband and photodynamic therapy units.
  • Fills liquid nitrogen containers for daily use.
  • Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms and supply areas.
  • Follow infection control practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
  • 0-3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
