Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Radiology Technologist II to join our team.

Position Overview

This role involves performing a variety of standard radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring high-quality imaging services are provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by assessing their needs and providing necessary education.
  • Conduct radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures with precision.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled tasks to enhance productivity.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement and the administration of contrast materials.
  • Operate radiographic equipment for image production and documentation.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee optimal image quality.
  • Accurately enter and complete patient information, including exam charges, in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Prepare films for interpretation by radiologists promptly.
  • Adapt to the unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate any abnormal situations to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Adhere to departmental procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Practice safety measures in radiography by following all regulations.
  • Maintain infection control guidelines and sterile techniques.
  • Ensure exam rooms and work areas are stocked and clean.
  • Participate in after-hours call rotation and provide coverage as needed.
  • May be involved in the clinical instruction of student technologists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Qualifications:Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, OSHA standards, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with exam protocols.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and navigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
