As a Telecommunications Line Technician, you will be at the forefront of dismantling, installing, repairing, and maintaining communication lines. Your role may involve accessing both underground and overhead lines, employing specialized tools while adhering to established safety protocols. Become a vital part of our efforts to deliver the internet that underpins contemporary life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain communication lines.
  • Set up and maintain poles along with necessary systems or apparatus.
  • Operate bucket trucks and other machinery as needed.
  • Conduct tests on cables, structures, and all equipment to ensure safe and consistent operation.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Telecommunications Line Technician and crew management (strongly preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of D.C. systems, wiring, and associated tools, safety practices, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience in rigging and working on elevated lines and structures.
  • Ability to climb poles using standard safety equipment.
  • Capability to work on ladders at heights exceeding 20 feet.
  • Experience with excavation equipment for accessing buried lines and familiarity with related safety practices.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and constructing to specifications.
  • Ability to monitor production effectively.
