Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety by creating a tranquil environment and adhering to examination instructions.
  • Identify anatomical orientation on images and verify proper file identification.
  • Maintain logs, process paperwork for biopsies, and utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and contribute to a positive patient experience.
  • Meet or exceed deadlines, follow through on tasks, and demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of course in Ultrasonic Technology.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (CT) certified.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively, and use computerized systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • 2+ years of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.

Compensation and Benefits:

As a New York Resident, the hourly range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour.
