Overview:

Sterling 5, Inc. is seeking skilled Scrum Masters to enhance our Agile product teams. The selected candidates will act as servant leaders and mentors for the Agile teams, working in close collaboration with Product Owners and team members. They will oversee team events, manage workload capacity, and ensure transparency in delivery commitments. Participation in strategic planning sessions and collaboration with the Platform Scrum Master to identify avenues for ongoing improvement will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and orchestrate Agile Scrum methodologies for the team, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while also supporting quarterly planning efforts.
  • Identify and work towards resolving obstacles faced by the team.
  • Promote continuous enhancement by addressing feedback from retrospectives.
  • Provide updates on status, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the backlog aligns with the overarching platform vision, mission, objectives, and product roadmaps.
  • Guide and mentor the team on Agile Scrum principles and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the IT sector.
  • Agile Scrum Master certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master.
  • In-depth understanding of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies effectively.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with Kanban methodologies.
