Electromechanical Assembly Specialist

Fischione Instruments is a leading provider of advanced microscopy and nanotechnology solutions. We are seeking a skilled electromechanical assembly technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Export, PA.

  • Assemble laboratory and specimen preparation products from drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
  • Use hand tools, electrical and mechanical test/repair equipment, and specialty tools to assemble products to extreme tolerances.
  • Perform complex assembly and testing processes, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Inspect and test assemblies, and document all work performed.

Requirements

  • Tech school certificate or assembly experience in a technology manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, vacuum components, and compressed gases is a plus.
  • Basic computer understanding and proficiency, including MS Office.
  • Above average math skills and ability to measure and calculate precisely.
  • Ability to think methodically, prioritize, and follow up on multiple tasks.

Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear, and see.
  • May be required to wear special personal protective equipment and work inside a Class 1000 cleanroom.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
