Job Overview:


This position offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dedicated team comprising 8 full-time audiologists and 2 licensed audiology assistants, committed to excellence in audiology practice. The Callier Center for Communication Disorders has a long-standing history of supporting individuals with speech, language, and hearing challenges.

Our community-focused non-profit clinic operates across two campuses, serving over 4000 patients annually. We also function as the training clinic for a top-ranked Doctor of Audiology program, collaborating closely with the University of Texas at Dallas, and engaging in translational research aimed at enhancing patient care through innovative practices.

The responsibilities of the audiologist in this role include:


- Conducting diagnostic and therapeutic audiological assessments for patients ranging from school-aged children to adults, particularly those with communication disorders potentially linked to hearing loss.

- Fitting and dispensing hearing aids and assistive technology as appropriate.

- Supervising students enrolled in the Doctor of Audiology program.

- Collaborating with fellow audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and faculty members at UT Dallas to foster interprofessional relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Audiology and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a license to practice Audiology in Texas within 60 days of employment.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree.

- A minimum of 3 years of clinical audiology experience, particularly for supervising students.

- Experience in hearing aid dispensing for diverse age groups.

- Background in tinnitus diagnosis and management is preferred.

- Experience in clinical supervision is advantageous.

- Strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism with patients.

- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
