Position Overview

COLSA Corporation is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled professional to join our team as a Storage & Backup Systems Analyst. This role involves managing and optimizing storage solutions in a collaborative and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in NAS administration and have a solid understanding of enterprise-level backup and recovery systems, particularly with tools like NetBackup. Familiarity with tape library operations, including Quantum and SpectraLogic systems, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Execute storage management tasks including system setup, data and volume oversight, user/group management, security permissions, and backup scheduling. Develop, maintain, and enhance documentation related to procedures, standards, and controls. Monitor the health of storage systems using established management tools and address hardware issues promptly. Design, implement, and sustain storage and backup solutions tailored to meet client requirements. Guarantee continuous availability of storage access for end users.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience in storage management. An active DoD Top Secret Clearance or equivalent with SCI eligibility, with the ability to obtain a CI Scope Polygraph within 180 days of employment. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Certification at DoD IAT Level II (such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent). Proficiency in enterprise and data center storage management (including DDN, IBM, NetApp, Quantum, Spectra Logic, NAS, SAN, GPFS/StorageScale, NFS, CIFS, Lustre). Experience in hardware troubleshooting across various components (Power, Mainboard, CPUs, PCIe, RAM, Local Storage, Network). Administration experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9, CentOS 7/8). Skills in programming/scripting with high-level languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Familiarity with data center virtualization technologies (VMware Horizon, vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix, AppVol, Grid, KVM, Qemu, RHEV). Experience with HPC Scheduling (Slurm, Torque, PBS, MOAB, Kubernetes, LSF). Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022). Storage networking certifications (NCDA, NCIE, Storage+, SCSN-E).
