Cambridge Security Services is seeking a highly skilled armed security officer, ideally with a background in military or law enforcement, to enhance our team. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering exceptional security services to protect individuals and property at the assigned location.
- Maintaining expertise in the use of protective gear, restraint tools, and firearms.
- Implementing rules and guidelines to ensure order and safety at the site.
- Fostering positive interactions with client personnel and visitors.
- Conducting foot or vehicle patrols of the premises, warmly welcoming guests and assisting them as necessary.
- Overseeing security systems, addressing safety concerns, and managing security incidents or emergencies with composure.
- Participating in continuous security training programs to further your career and provide outstanding service to our clients.
- Meeting all licensing and certification requirements for armed security personnel.
- Working in diverse environments and conditions that necessitate the use of weapons, protective equipment, and a strong emphasis on safety.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on various surfaces.
- Occasional climbing of stairs, ramps, or ladders.
- Occasional bending, twisting, lifting up to 40 pounds, and running as required.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for a variety of tasks.
- Maintaining mental alertness and attention to detail in dynamic situations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred 5+ years of experience in a Country Club or Gatehouse setting.
- Military experience is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Florida Security D & G License is mandatory.
- Completion of a background check and drug/alcohol screening is required.
- Consistent maintenance of all necessary licenses and exemplary customer service skills are essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and proficient computer skills are crucial.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and the ability to manage various situations with calmness are expected.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication with the public and colleagues.
