About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Des Moines, IA. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle, including developing the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing the delivery of the project plan to successfully accomplish HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams for one or more strategic projects
  • Develop project scope and fee quotations
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts
  • Manage client relationships and project communications
  • Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production
  • Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA)
  • Lead the development and execution of the project management plan
  • Supervise and mentor team members to achieve overall project objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license - State of Iowa preferred or ability to obtain
  • Iowa DOT experience
  • Microstation and Geopak experience - Bentley OpenRoads a plus
  • Bluebeam Revu experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Active engagement in local professional and/or civic organizations
