Position Overview

The role of a Project Coordinator involves overseeing a team of Engineers in Training (EITs), designers, and CAD Technicians to develop comprehensive construction documents, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for various land development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design efforts for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, including the planning of roadway systems, domestic water supply, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management.
  • Engage with clients to clarify project scope and anticipated timelines.
  • Assume full responsibility for projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure that engineering documentation complies with regulatory standards and maintain effective communication with clients regarding project schedules and challenges.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and initiative in decision-making, reflecting a strong sense of accountability for project outcomes.

Additional Duties

  • Develop, implement, and adjust project work plans to align with client requirements.
  • Manage daily operational aspects of projects and maintain client relations.
  • Review team deliverables prior to client submission or jurisdictional review.
  • Prepare for quality assurance reviews and ensure all project documentation is accurate and well-organized.
  • Monitor and report on project hours and expenditures weekly.
  • Understand and apply revenue models, cost projections, and billing practices effectively.
  • Ensure completion and signing of all necessary legal project documents.
  • Deliver clear and engaging presentations to stakeholders.
  • Communicate sensitive information with tact and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of post-graduate experience in land development design and construction oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and relevant engineering software.
  • Experience in private land development is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the design and drafting processes to meet client objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering design software.
