Job Overview

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be instrumental in elevating the overall guest satisfaction by ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment. Your main duty will be to oversee the cleanliness and safety of all guest accommodations and communal spaces, upholding the hotel’s exceptional standards.

Compensation:

$18 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prepare cleaning supplies and equipment for daily tasks, ensuring all storage areas are kept tidy and accessible.
  • Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas to ensure a consistently presentable facility.
  • Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including showers, toilets, and sinks, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and well-maintained.
  • Restock room amenities and ensure that all supplies are replenished for incoming guests.
  • Manually clean all hard floor surfaces to remove dirt and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, including hard-to-reach areas such as vents and ceiling corners.
  • Change bed linens and check for cleanliness of all bedding items, ensuring a fresh and inviting sleeping environment.
  • Inspect closets for cleanliness and ensure guest supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Vacuum all areas, including rooms and hallways, while managing heavy furniture as needed to maintain cleanliness.
  • Monitor housekeeping supplies to ensure sufficient inventory levels are maintained.
  • Collaborate closely with the Front Desk and Engineering teams to report and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms and vacant spaces on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports as required.
  • Identify cleaning deficiencies and assign tasks to Room Attendants accordingly.
  • Supervise Housemen to ensure they are effectively supporting Room Attendants and completing their assigned duties.
  • Oversee the operations of the Laundry Department and its functions.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at energy conservation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of hotel property and work areas.
  • Minimize waste of cleaning supplies.
  • Foster a motivated and well-trained staff dedicated to excellence in service and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within housekeeping is essential.
  • Experience in an upscale, full-service hotel environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, including inventory management and safety standards.
  • Ability to train staff on guest interaction and service excellence.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks for the housekeeping team and providing constructive feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage high occupancy levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA is required.
