Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process meat deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label meat products to ensure accurate inventory and pricing.
  • Stock and maintain meat cases, including selecting and preparing products for display.
  • Prepare valued-added products, such as cutting and wrapping meat for customer service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions and making product recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including processing cuts for service counter or special orders.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs
  • Job cycles: continual max
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
  • Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.
