Position Overview

SHIFT

DAY Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm

Please note that due to operational requirements, there may be a 6th day for Mandatory Overtime.

In accordance with established protocols and under supervision, the Packaging Specialist executes packaging and light machinery operation tasks across various workstations to support production objectives. Specific responsibilities are clearly outlined by operational guidelines for each role within the job rotation. Management retains the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.

  • Acquire knowledge of the operator roles, responsibilities, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to the designated area and equipment.
  • Accurately complete all necessary batch records and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Safely and efficiently operate assigned machinery.
  • Conduct machine changeovers and cleaning as dictated by the production schedule, adhering to the relevant SOPs.
  • Measure, count, document, and verify materials utilized in the assigned production zone.
  • Ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with batch records and specifications.
  • Timely clean assigned equipment and workspaces according to SOPs.
  • Follow company policies and safety practices within the department.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Successfully complete packaging zone assessments within designated timeframes.
  • Handle and/or arrange bins, metal plates, and materials, as well as load materials to work centers as necessary.
  • Identify and rectify any conditions that compromise a safe and clean workplace, reporting any safety issues immediately.
  • Keep the work area orderly, including cleaning machines and the surrounding workspace.
  • Recognize and address out-of-control situations, halting operations until the issue is resolved.
  • Be present at the job location during the assigned shift.
  • Participate in training others and/or contribute to task forces aimed at enhancing company procedures or operations.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Work collaboratively and foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must successfully complete all job-related assessments and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality-focused environment, including inspections and GMP standards. Annual re-qualification on all job-related tests and certifications is mandatory as job requirements evolve.
