Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Audio Engineers (A2) to join our talent network for potential future roles. Applications will be reviewed continuously as project requirements develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director, Producer, Sound Designer, and/or clients to ascertain the audio needs of each production.
  • Mix audio signals and levels for in-room PA systems and streaming, while setting up any necessary mix-minus or specialized audio routing.
  • Work in tandem with A2s and/or presenters to accurately position and track lavalier microphones.
  • Prepare, organize, and manage handheld microphones as required.
  • Adhere to the run-of-show documentation to ensure seamless show execution.
  • Coordinate with fellow crew members to implement audio elements before and during performances.
  • Conduct rehearsals with performers and the artistic production team, making necessary adjustments to equipment setup and cue sheets.
  • Follow directions from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as planned.
  • Perform sound checks prior to each performance to ensure optimal audio quality.
  • Test all playback elements for proper functionality.
  • Select and deploy suitable technical sound equipment that aligns with the production's requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an A1, ideally in large or high-profile events.
  • Experience in live event corporate environments, collaborating with high-level talent.
  • In-depth knowledge of broadcast and production technology.
  • Familiarity with specific technologies such as Yamaha CL Series, SSL Consoles, Midas Consoles, Shure Wireless Workbench, Solid State Logic, and LAcoustics.
  • Proficient in programming and operating mixing consoles, microphones, and other audio equipment.
  • Strong understanding of audio transport standards including Dante, MADI, and Twinlane.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid changes in a live and dynamic environment.
  • Exemplary control room demeanor, proven leadership capabilities, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both clients and technical staff.
  • A service-oriented approach with a commitment to helping clients achieve their best outcomes.
  • Responsiveness to inquiries is essential, with a focus on updates and follow-through.

Compensation & Benefits:

This part-time role offers competitive compensation ranging from $55 to $85 per hour, based on experience.
