Job Title: Civil Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Specialist to join our team at STV. As a key member of our Transportation, Construction Management division, you will play a critical role in supporting our Specialty Design Build projects for Special Project Roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to provide complex design solutions for transportation projects, including geometric roadway design, drawing preparation, calculations, quantities, and specifications.
  • Support both bid and design-build type projects, utilizing MicroStation, Open Roads, and Geopak software.
  • Provide professional design services for transportation highway and other projects for the NCDOT and other transportation agencies.
  • Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within established schedules and budgets.
  • Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports, and final bid packages.
  • Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • 0-2 years of roadway design experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Open Roads Designer.
