Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a range of diagnoses, including post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic, and traumatic conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on physical therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited program in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current unencumbered license or temporary permit to practice as a Physical Therapist in CT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within two months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of experience in an academic or large medical center-based practice.
  • Experience working with children and/or adults in various settings.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions. The worker may be exposed to blood and body fluids, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases.
