Join our team at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness Lincoln Park as a Climbing Wall Instructor. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced climbing professional to teach climbing classes, belay individual climbers, and maintain a safe and clean climbing wall area.
Responsibilities:- Teach Top-Rope Certification classes and belay individual climbers as needed.
- Maintain and promote a safe and clean climbing wall area.
- Provide excellent customer service to climbers of all skill levels and promote a positive and encouraging climbing experience.
- Facilitate climbing orientation and certification to novice and first-time climbers during individual and group sessions.
- Enforce all climbing wall rules and be aware of all equipment.
- Able to work with adults and children.
- Must be personable and outgoing.
- Previous climbing experience and skills are mandatory.
- Previous or current employment at a certified climbing gym is required.
- Prior experience teaching climbers is required.
- Must have flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and both weekend days.
- Complimentary club membership with free climbing privileges.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
