The Kitchen Sanitation and Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment. This role involves dishwashing, cleaning, and assisting with various tasks such as organizing food donations and working alongside volunteers to ensure smooth kitchen operations. It is essential for this individual to be a cooperative team member who can maintain composure and kindness in a fast-paced setting.
Reporting Structure: Manager, Food Services
Key Qualifications:
- Alignment with the organization's Statement of Faith
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
- Professional interaction with coworkers, volunteers, clients, and the public
- Ability to lift, bend, and squat at least 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Proven track record of being organized, adaptable, reliable, and honest
- Strong verbal communication abilities
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Culinary Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food handler's certification
- Valid driver's license in NY or NJ
- Experience in volunteer work or customer-facing roles
Compensation is based on relevant education and experience: $17 - $19 per hour
