Job Title: Teller

About the Role:

As a Teller at Community Bank System, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services. Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive customer experience while conducting financial transactions, including cashing checks, handling deposits and withdrawals, and providing information on bank products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer service and a positive banking experience by handling financial transactions with a professional attitude.
  • Actively listen for potential sales opportunities to promote specific bank products and services, and refer customers accordingly.
  • Conduct customer transactions with accuracy and prepare daily cash balancing within established guidelines.
  • Ability to understand direction and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Travel is required to surrounding branches as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service skills preferred.
