Maintenance Supervisor

This position plays a critical role in the ongoing upkeep of machinery, equipment, and operations by providing skilled mechanical repairs, adjustments, installations, and preventive maintenance necessary for proper function and appearance of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Manage changeovers, set-ups, repairs, and maintenance of all production and support equipment.
- Responsible for spare parts sourcing and replenishment, major rebuilds, and plant facilities maintenance.
- Guide, assist, train, and mentor team members, schedule all work center activities for the department, and keep manager apprised of all pertinent information.
- Practice and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for the Maintenance & Facilities Department.
- Practice and enforce all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment readiness for manufacturing operations as needed in all areas, which can require quick reaction and rapid employment of unique solutions.
- Direct completion of all PM, inspection, or other activities per Mpulse CMMS.
- Gather and review documentation that is completed by team members and review all documentation for P.M.s, repairs, and parts for accuracy.
- Direct schedule-dependent line changeovers, major and minor adjustments or repairs, troubleshoot, and problem-solve on all plant facilities and/or equipment as necessary.
- Interact professionally with peers, staff, and vendors; maintain effective working relationships and work in cooperation with management team to effectively meet departmental objectives.
- Provide a skilled understanding of equipment, facilities, and assist all shift mechanics with after-hours guidance.
- Train manufacturing personnel in the care, cleaning, operation, and observation of equipment.
- Assist in developing critical parts lists, maintain accurate inventory accounts of parts, and ensure that parts are ordered and in-house on time for repairs and rebuilds.
- Use a proactive and predictive approach to develop a continuous improvement, root cause analysis-based culture within the department.
- Participate in meetings and report maintenance department objectives and opportunities as needed.
- Obtain and maintain Forklift Certification for the respective facility.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work any day or shift as needed to support site operations.
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school, military training, or technical college preferred.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on industrial facilities and equipment in related industry, beverage experience a plus.
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Forklift certified.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
- Solid Basic Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights, and measures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering documents and specifications as they apply to manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems.
- Basic knowledge of both (A/C) high voltage and (D/C) low voltage electrical wiring.
- Reads and understands electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
- Computer proficient; including MS Office and MPulse.
- Ability to communicate well both written and orally at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Understands all GMPs, SQF, SOPs, HACCP, Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Ability to dismantle, repair, install, or move machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair both facilities support equipment and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to safely operate all hand and power tools applicable to tasks at skilled level.
- Ability to direct preventive maintenance on a range of facility equipment with a full understanding and use of the preventative maintenance software.
- Skilled experience with electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Requires ability to work in an environment that may contain non-toxic fumes, dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature and ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required.
Work environment sometimes involves exposure to inclement weather.
May require working in cramped spaces and extending hands into machinery.
