Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and executing work orders to ensure compliance with SQF Food Safety Standards. This includes repairing plant floors, painting machine gear motors, and replacing roll-up doors, curtains, and wash stations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building maintenance, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily building inspections and correct deficiencies
  • Replace A/C and air handlers units air filters
  • Wash down refrigerant compressors
  • Servicing sump pumps on roof and sump tank
  • Keep the Maintenance Shop, outside sheds, and Boiler Room clean, organized, and safe
  • Perform PM/Service to boilers, air compressors, water chillers, silos, and other equipment
  • Assist with production/equipment maintenance as needed
  • Document all work performed daily
  • Submit purchase order requests for parts
  • Communicate with management about any work that requires outside expert assistance
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years facilities maintenance work experience
  • Prior work experience in building maintenance, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Ability to use voltmeter to check AC/DC voltage
  • Ability to drive a forklift/industrial equipment
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with schedule
  • Ability to comply with company attendance and punctuality policy
  • Ability to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
  • Ability to adhere to a drug and alcohol zero tolerance policy

  • Continual walking and standing on hard surface, climbing, and descending steps
  • Continual bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up-to 50 lbs
  • Driving industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks
  • Exposed to cool, hot temperatures and noise
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Temperatures ranging to very warm conditions
  • Loud noises generated from equipment
