Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
- Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, installation of fixtures, and moving materials within the facility.
- Utilize a work order system to log activities as required in a timely manner.
- Work with contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- General understanding of building trades, including electric, plumbing, painting, and heating/air conditioning systems.
- Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in various building construction and maintenance trades.
- Basic computer skills related to data entry, retrieval, and record-keeping.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possession of a current valid California Class C driver's license and dependable transportation.
