A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEALTHCARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring that we provide attentive and compassionate patient care at all times. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you warmly welcome patients and assess their needs upon arrival. You will prepare them for their consultations by organizing examination and procedure areas, collecting medical histories, and recording vital signs and measurements. Additionally, you will handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing essential documentation, including pre-authorizations and medical records. While maintaining a reassuring presence for our patients, you will also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HEALTHCARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in computer use, including experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Prior experience with medical records management.
