Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 3 years' experience in mechanical facilities maintenance, operations management, or a related professional field.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Mechanical Operations

  • Oversees cogeneration, energy management, and mechanical systems to optimize utility savings.
  • Assists in managing the departmental budget.
  • Tracks work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure tasks are completed and documented appropriately.
  • Conducts regular inspections and ensures that preventative maintenance initiatives are executed.

Leading Electrical Engineering Team

  • Evaluates the performance of the Mechanical Engineering team.
  • Creates weekly employee and project schedules.
  • Develops and executes training programs for the Mechanical Engineering team.
  • Ensures all team members can effectively operate area-specific systems.
  • Confirms that the Mechanical Engineering team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and safety protocols.
  • Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) for the entire Engineering division.

Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Conducts interviews, selects, and trains new employees.
  • Evaluates employee productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other status changes.
  • Ensures the safety and security of employees and property.
  • Monitors employee attendance and tracks absences/tardiness.
  • Guides supervisors in achieving their development objectives.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations with direct reports in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
The salary range for this position is $73,000 to $96,000 annually.
