CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 3 years' experience in mechanical facilities maintenance, operations management, or a related professional field.
- 2-year graduate degree in Engineering; 2 years' experience in mechanical facilities maintenance, operations management, or a related professional field.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Mechanical Operations
- Oversees cogeneration, energy management, and mechanical systems to optimize utility savings.
- Assists in managing the departmental budget.
- Tracks work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure tasks are completed and documented appropriately.
- Conducts regular inspections and ensures that preventative maintenance initiatives are executed.
Leading Electrical Engineering Team
- Evaluates the performance of the Mechanical Engineering team.
- Creates weekly employee and project schedules.
- Develops and executes training programs for the Mechanical Engineering team.
- Ensures all team members can effectively operate area-specific systems.
- Confirms that the Mechanical Engineering team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and safety protocols.
- Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) for the entire Engineering division.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
- Conducts interviews, selects, and trains new employees.
- Evaluates employee productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other status changes.
- Ensures the safety and security of employees and property.
- Monitors employee attendance and tracks absences/tardiness.
- Guides supervisors in achieving their development objectives.
- Conducts annual performance evaluations with direct reports in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
