Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee the Clinical and Operational Medication Management needs of our Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Preop and PACU units. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for personnel management and workflow of 6 Pharmacist FTEs and 11 Pharmacy Technician FTEs. You will also serve as a primary liaison to Nursing and Physician leadership, working as a project manager and optimizing services, safety, and regulatory compliance of medication usage.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Clinical and Operational Medication Management needs of Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Preop and PACU units
  • Manage personnel and workflow of 6 Pharmacist FTEs and 11 Pharmacy Technician FTEs
  • Serve as primary liaison to Nursing and Physician leadership
  • Work as a project manager to optimize services, safety, and regulatory compliance of medication usage
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy or related equivalent
  • California Pharmacist License upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate employees and lead teams
  • Strong clinical skills, particularly perioperative and procedural medication therapy
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers
