About the Role

Baxter is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join our team in Cleveland. As a key member of our plant operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
  • Rebuild and modify production machines and components to support technology improvements and cost control.
  • Assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test instruments to diagnose and repair control circuits.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, or equivalent experience.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Basic English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and read technical documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
