Job Overview

Choice One Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our survey department, you will be responsible for conducting complex land surveys, analyzing geospatial data, and managing survey projects from proposal to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough land surveys, utilizing knowledge of ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, topographic mapping, and courthouse research to ensure accurate results.
  • Analyze geospatial data, including measurements and calculations, to verify accuracy and ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  • Direct and verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • Manage survey projects from proposal through approval process, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Monitor quality and compliance with professional standards and risk management, maintaining a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
Requirements
  • Ohio Professional Surveyor or working towards license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Survey/Engineering or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in surveying, with a strong background in boundary/property law and boundary analysis.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and a robot total station and GPS receiver preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously and maintain excellent client relations.
