Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader in Educational Policy and Leadership to join our faculty at Texas Tech University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research that contributes to the improvement of policy, practice, and the field of educational leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research that informs education policy at the district, state, or national levels.
- Apply for and manage external funding to support leadership for educational policy research.
- Supervise graduate student research and practice, including serving on doctoral dissertations.
- Recruit, advise, and mentor master's and doctoral students.
- Teach distance-delivered graduate Educational Leadership courses in EDLD masters and doctoral-level cohort programs.
- Work collaboratively with EDLD faculty in the College of Education and on program-level grant-supported education policy projects.
- Contribute to the advancement of the Education Policy specialization and EDLD program goals through service, outreach, and engagement.
- Partner with schools and/or agencies to ensure meaningful collaborative research, teaching, and practice.
- Doctorate in a relevant field, such as Educational Policy, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
- High-impact scholarship, including a record of peer-reviewed publications and scholarly work.
- Expertise in research methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Excellence in teaching and mentorship, including experience teaching at the university level.
- Research experience in education policy, including experience conducting research that informs education policy at the district, state, or national levels.
- External funding success, including a demonstrated track record of securing external funding for research projects.
- Collaborative partnerships, including experience building and maintaining partnerships with education policy agencies, organizations, nonprofits, or similar entities.
- Online teaching experience, including experience teaching online or distance education courses.
- Doctoral advising and leadership, including a solid track record of advising doctoral students and chairing dissertation committees.
