About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous patrols throughout the Medical Center to identify and address potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergency situations and calls for assistance in a timely and effective manner.
  • Control access to the Medical Center and enforce policies and procedures related to security and safety.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Security leadership.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer software and systems.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of college credits.
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in law enforcement.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position that requires working in all areas of the Medical Center, including parking lots, grounds, and outer buildings. The Security Officer will be required to work in all weather conditions and may be required to perform duties as assigned by Security leadership.
