Loss Prevention Specialist Internship

Job Description: We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Loss Prevention Team as an intern. As a Loss Prevention Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the Loss Prevention team in the implementation of standardized, cost-effective, and efficient security services programs for our fulfillment centers. Your primary responsibility will be to drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project, ensuring internal controls are fulfilled, and managing access controls to reduce the risk of unauthorized data access. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, Finance, and Inventory Control Quality Assurance, to identify and implement security best practices and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities: The Loss Prevention Intern will be responsible for:
- Driving standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project
- Ensuring internal controls are fulfilled per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Managing access controls to reduce the risk of unauthorized data access
- Assisting with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud
- Inspiring performance excellence among security services team members
- Aligning performance and actions with the organization's vision and values
- Meeting or surpassing objectives that align with the security service model
- Serving as a liaison for facility management, keeping them abreast of key issues, strategies, and department performance
- Driving process improvements and increasing efficiency
- Identifying, promoting, and implementing security best practices
- Effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree with a conferral date between December 2025 and August 2026
- A degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, or a related field with interest in a career in Loss Prevention
- Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, or distribution center loss mitigation techniques
- Organizational and detail-oriented skills, with a focus on accuracy
- The ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and motivate self and others to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence when public speaking or writing
- The ability to dive deep into data and provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions
Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $49,900 per year, based on a competitive salary range of $42,300 to $72,600 per year, depending on the location.
