Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and testing electronic systems for embedded underwater applications, custom data acquisition systems, and automated test hardware for land-based testing of naval systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and test electronic systems for embedded underwater applications, custom data acquisition systems, and automated test hardware for land-based testing of naval systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans for new designs and document results.
  • Design and document systems and circuits in OrCAD, Eagle, Visio, Altium, or PADS.
  • Review specifications, requirements, schematics, bill of materials, mechanical drawings, and test plans created by senior engineering for accuracy.
  • Create/Review well-documented notes of design changes to maintain version control of drawings.
  • Troubleshoot both large-scale systems and individual system components or larger-scale systems.
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience
  • Electronic design experience in the area of test equipment, power electronics, amplifiers, filtering, signal conditioning, and/or high-speed digital
  • Schematic entry using a schematic capture tool
  • Experience creating technical data package quality drawings for electronic systems
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical drawings along with their associated system-level TDP
  • Hands-on troubleshooting using test equipment to help isolate problems and ability to generate solutions
  • Familiarity with System Engineering concepts
  • Ability to interact directly with customers to extract requirements, generate a plan, and report status
