Job Overview

EBW Electronics is a leading provider in the automated electronic manufacturing sector, focusing on the design and production of printed circuit board assemblies. Established in 1992, we have consistently catered to a diverse clientele across various industries.


Position Summary:

The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in assisting Engineers and Production personnel with daily operations on the factory floor, addressing any quality-related issues that arise with customers and suppliers. This position involves operating testing equipment and gathering data to ensure the quality of products before they are dispatched.


Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct inspections of products utilizing gauges, coordinate measuring machines, scales, oscilloscopes, and vision systems prior to shipment.

• Perform testing on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Measure critical quality attributes of processes through sampling and trend analysis.

• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of all gauges and testing machines used for quality monitoring, including adjustments as necessary using test standards.

• Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality by performing necessary measurements and analysis on returned items.

• Implement the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure all requirements for new or modified parts or processes are understood and communicated to suppliers.

• Preferred experience in hand soldering.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications:


• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Additional college coursework or certifications are advantageous.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Quality Assurance capacity.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


• Familiarity with TS 16949 or ISO 9001 / 2000 standards, electronics, IPC, PCB, and auditing practices, with the ability to interpret GD&T and read blueprints.

• Proficient in statistical process control methods, GR&R, GD&T, and print interpretation. Strong understanding of calibration and use of gauges, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Capability to operate or learn programming for computer-aided inspection equipment or electronic testers while maintaining consistency in programming techniques.
