**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Program Manager to oversee the development and operations of sports programs in Spartanburg, SC.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-2 years of experience in sports program management. The selected individual will be responsible for promoting the YMCA's four core values and character development model, recruiting and training part-time staff, and managing the sports program budget.

The Sports Program Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community organizations, monitoring program statistics, and securing facilities for events.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Promote the YMCA's four core values and character development model in all program activities
  • Recruit, train, and develop part-time program staff and volunteers
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations
  • Manage the sports program budget to meet fiscal objectives
  • Monitor program statistics to evaluate effectiveness and participation
  • Schedule and maintain needed fields and facilities

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in sports program management
  • YMCA Team Leader certification preferred
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people
  • Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

**Work Environment & Physical Demands:**

The employee needs sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and supervise program activities in indoor and outdoor locations. The employee frequently sits and reaches and must be able to move around the work environment. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

**Salary:** $45,000 - $55,000 per year
