Job Summary:

This is a traveling Physical Therapist position located in the central region of Virginia. The position will involve providing physical therapy services to patient inmates at various facilities within the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy evaluations, progress notes, updated plans of care, and discharges.
  • Collaborate with other Physical Therapy clinic team members and medical staff to improve patient care.
  • Assist in Physical Therapy Quality Improvement Measures and Data Collections.
  • Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
  • Current physical therapy license in Virginia.
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients with various acute and chronic orthopedic dysfunctions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to play an active role collaborating with other medical professionals to provide optimum care.

Additional Considerations:

  • Possesses leadership skills.
  • Experience in patient-centered program development within rehabilitation settings.
  • Clinical experience in multiple settings such as outpatient orthopedic, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute facilities.
