Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as part of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in AI and its applications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our researchers to analyze trends in deep learning and other aspects of computing, gather primary or secondary data, prepare research visualizations, write reports, make presentations, and perform analysis. They will also collaborate with others in the lab to contribute to ongoing research projects and the broader work of CSAIL.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze trends in deep learning and other aspects of computing to inform research directions.
  2. Gather primary or secondary data through various means, including surveys, literature reviews, and experiments.
  3. Prepare research visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and infographics, to effectively communicate findings.
  4. Write clear and concise reports and documents to present research results.
  5. Maintain accurate records of research activities, including data collection and analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant research experience, which may include experience gained as an undergraduate.
  • Demonstrated interest in the topics being studied in the lab, particularly AI and its applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
