The Program Coordinator/Lead DSP role is essential in providing initial oversight and leadership to designated home locations and the Direct Support Professionals delivering services within those environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of assigned residences, focusing on client care including personal hygiene, nutrition, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with scheduling teams to ensure adequate staffing aligns with individual care contracts.
  • Ensure that homes are tailored to reflect the preferences and interests of the residents, conducting daily health and safety assessments.
  • Support the implementation and maintain a thorough understanding of individual support plans and protocols for assigned locations.
  • Provide on-site coaching and continuous training for Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff to ensure optimal support for individuals.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring meaningful goals for each client, ensuring documentation is completed regularly and any necessary adjustments are communicated to the Program Director.
  • Foster professional relationships with DSP staff to enhance employee engagement and cultivate a culture of appreciation.
  • Participate in staff retraining and coaching as needed.
  • Facilitate transportation and assist individuals in community activities such as appointments and outings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience required (experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
