POSITION SUMMARY

Santa Lucia is looking for a dedicated Caregiver to join our team in providing essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges. This role is focused on fostering independence, enjoyment, and social connections for those we serve. As a caregiver, you will engage with clients in various enjoyable activities, either in the community or within their residences. This position offers valuable experience in the human services sector.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Provide safe transportation and supervision for clients
  • Assist in organizing community-based activities
  • Demonstrate and encourage appropriate social behaviors
  • Participate in recreational outings such as movies, bowling, zoo visits, and sports events
  • Support clients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A valid driver's license is preferred
  • No prior experience with individuals with disabilities is necessary, although it is advantageous. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip caregivers with the skills needed to offer meaningful support.

WORK SCHEDULE

Shifts available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Compensation is approximately $18 per hour in most cases.
