About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Universal Health Services, Inc. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments and assistance as required.
  • Assist in all aspects of surgical procedures, maintaining awareness of the surgical field and responding to requests from the surgical team.
  • Take responsibility for case cleanup, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly disposed of or sterilized after use.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transportation, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
  • Contribute to room turnovers, preparing the operating room for the next procedure and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical instruments.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
